Chikara × Wilwood Big Brake Kit (NA / NB Miata)
 
Designed and engineered with reliability, serviceability, and long-term cost savings in mind, the Chikara × Wilwood Big Brake Kit delivers a modern braking solution for the NA/NB Miata platform.
As OEM-sized NA/NB brake rotors continue to become more expensive and harder to source, we developed our BBK around readily available ND Miata front rotors. This approach gives owners access to a wide range of replacement rotor options while helping reduce long-term operating costs.
 
At the heart of the kit is the Wilwood Forged Dynalite Internal caliper — a lightweight forged caliper featuring improved structural rigidity and enhanced corrosion resistance through updated anodizing technology. At just 3 lbs per caliper, the setup helps reduce unsprung weight while maintaining excellent braking performance.
 
Brake feel was carefully considered to remain close to OEM characteristics, with a slightly firmer and more confidence-inspiring pedal. Combined with our custom Chikara bracket design, this kit delivers predictable braking performance that feels natural on both street and spirited driving applications.
 
Choose the brake pad compound that best matches your driving style:
SR27 Step 2 – Balanced all-around compound with smooth modulation, low dust, and excellent street manners with light track capability.
CA27 – Higher initial bite and firmer pedal feel. Ideal for spirited street driving and occasional track use.
CC27 Step 2 – Highest temperature capacity and our most track-oriented option while maintaining predictable street performance.
 
Every component was selected to create a lightweight, confidence-inspiring brake package that feels intuitive on the street and capable on track.
